What makes Interiors - Interesting!

In our daily life, there are so many things that surround us, but we hardly pay attention to them because either we are late for our work or we have a train to hop on to or we have to catch a running bus and so many other things that we have to focus on. Our a attention is scattered in multiple directions

If attention is put on one thing at a time there is nothing that cannot be achieved. We need to pay attention to details in all actions we perform in life, when we have that undivided attention and focus we understand the whole as it is. The devil is in the detail, find and eliminate all that is unnecessary in the design. When you take deeper interest in it, you find it unravels itself, you SEE it. It becomes INTERESTING !

It is all about attention to detail. This ideology is vastly applied in Design, for example, when we look at a furniture item and say WOW, it comes only when we are seeing the outer appearance of the furniture, but when you spend a little more time looking at it, your brain will start to analyze it and you will see and understand the concept behind it and if you like it, the compliment which follows will be, WOW! Interesting. This only happens when you are ready to put in some extra time to notice the aesthetic and function balance.

When we talk about attention to detail you can check our work on below link

Every furniture has its own story, the process of how to make it aesthetically beautiful as well as functional at the same time. We have elaborated it with few points below :
  • Why it should be made? That is, catering to the requirement of the client and the purpose that it serves in that particular space.
  • What is the purpose behind it? That is the function it is going to serve. Keeping in mind the requirements of the client and their lifestyle , the outer and inner appearance of the furniture item is designed.
  • How is the ideation done ? Firstly, some rough sketches are made to understand the idea that emerges in a designer’s mind, all ideas are put down without censoring and only later it is converged to an idea that is functional and possible to build. Models are made and iteration done repeatedly until final results are achieved.
  • What after Design is done ? There comes its execution part wherein as per the specification it is built and finished and a evaluation of quality is carried out.
  • There NOW it is ready for delivery.
Some examples of the process are shown below :

This process of designing actually pays off when someone understands all these steps which led to the final output. This process makes it Interesting and not the final product.

When Interior design goes unnoticed you realize something is missing. Are they able to catch the undivided attention of others? Are they able to create some impact on others? Is it functional and user friendly? This is where design thinking helps, to ideate and design something which is really interesting.
